Throughout my years as a pastor and hospice chaplain, I have walked alongside people facing some of life’s hardest moments. I have faced valleys of my own, too. Through grief, uncertainty, and circumstances I could not change, I have learned how much we need the faithfulness of God.

That is why I wrote Five Smooth Stones: Facing Your Giants with Faith.

David’s encounter with Goliath reminds us that the size of our giant does not diminish the power of our God. Through the themes of faith, courage, obedience, perseverance, and victory, this book invites you to trust Him with whatever stands before you.

My hope is that these pages will encourage you, strengthen your faith, and remind you that you do not face your battles alone. If even one person reads this book and finds help and hope, it will have been worth writing.

I look forward to sharing it with you soon.
The battle is the Lord’s. The victory is Christ’s. And the glory belongs to God.
